Our Services

Advance Care Planning

Advance Care Planning aims to ensure that individuals receive medical care that aligns with their values and wishes, even when they are unable to advocate for themselves. It is a proactive approach to healthcare planning that can provide peace of mind and support for both patients and their loved ones.

Living Funeral

A living funeral, also known as a pre-funeral or celebration of life, is a ceremony held while a person is still alive so their loved ones can share their love before death.

End-of-Life Planning

Keeping Vigil

End-of-life planning addresses the details that will be pertinent after death.

In the context of a death doula, keeping vigil means being present and providing non-medical support to a dying person and their family during the final hours or days of life. It's a sacred act of companionship, emotional support, and intentional presence, often involving sitting quietly with the individual and offering comfort, as well as practical and spiritual support.

Legacy Services

Legacy services involve assisting individuals in documenting their life stories and creating tangible keepsakes to be cherished by loved ones after their death.

Therapeutic Massage

As a licensed massage and bodywork therapist (NC LMBT # 20193), I can provide end-of-life massage in hopes of alleviating pain and stress.

What is a Death Doula?

A death doula is a non-medical support professional who provides holistic, physical, emotional, and spiritual care for the dying and their loved ones: before, during, and after death. A death doula also acts as a guide who supports families and their dying loved ones as they go through the death experience.

About
Friend ‘til the End

We believe that every soul’s journey is sacred. We are committed to providing compassionate, gentle support through life’s most profound transition, guiding each spirit and their loved ones with grace, reverence, and love. Our mission is to create a peaceful space where death is honored as a natural part of life’s continuum, offering comfort, presence, and spiritual guidance as each soul prepares to embark on its next journey.

End-of-Life trainings, including at the Center for Conscious Living and Dying & Let’s Go in Wellness, have paved the way to be a “friend til the end”. We are part of the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA), the only professional, nonprofit membership group for death doulas. Also, we have licensures in massage and bodywork therapy to complement our service offerings.

As an End-Of-Life Doula, we provide an additional layer of non-medical support, advocacy, and education to a client or family caregiver. We are independent, insured, self-employed, and work for the client, not a specific hospice, palliative care organization, hospital, assisted living or skilled nursing facility.
